I use the Patagonia® R1 Hoody for cold weather running in the Pacific Northwest. This thing is much warmer than I expected, so I use it less often than planned, but when the weather is cold it’s a great piece. It also works great as a non-running hoody, layered up or standalone, on cold days when I’m outside but not super active

The hood is rather snug and I've only used it once while running is abnormally cold weather. If you rarely use a hood, I’d suggest getting the R1 Pullover.

My physique falls right on the line between men’s medium and large. I purchased a large and it fit well. It is absolutely a slim fit.
